Telecommunications Program

The Lee County Telecommunications Program has two primary missions.

1- To run the Lee County Emergency Dispatch Center;
As a central collection point for requests for emergency medical and the majority of fire services in Lee County Florida.
To ensure that all requests for service are met in the appropriate and timely manner.
2- To operate and maintain the Government Communications network.
The county-wide radio system allows our emergency responders to have voice capabilities and includes a county wide Mobile Data Network to allow Public Safety users access to critical information from their vehicles.
The radio system also supports other county agencies that benefit from the immediacy of radio communications. These agencies can also be patched into the Public Safety system when they are used in large scale rescue operations.
